VECTOR ART
From pixels to purposeful paths.
Give a JPEG logo or graphic a clean, scalable foundation for professional artwork preparation.

A CONSIDERED APPROACH
Built around the way
you’ll use it.
Simply saving a JPEG with a vector file extension does not create editable vector shapes. A proper redraw reconstructs the artwork as paths, while photographs and complex tonal images may need a different approach.
01
Source resolution
Send the largest, clearest JPEG you have.
02
Artwork complexity
Gradients, shadows and distressed textures can affect how a redraw is approached.
03
Output format
Specify the format required by the printer or production partner.
BEFORE YOU START
A clearer brief.
A better starting point.
Use your clearest source artwork. Include the finished size, application and required date. Confirm price, deliverables and timing before placing an order.

KNOW YOUR OPTIONS
Small choices.
A different finished result.
These decisions help define the project before the artwork or production plan is approved.
JPEG To Vector: decisions to confirm
| Decision | What to specify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Compression artifacts | Distinguish genuine design detail from blocky edges introduced by compression. | Tracing every visible pixel can preserve flaws instead of the intended shapes. |
| Background removal | Specify whether the background is part of the design or should be omitted. | A white background is not always the same as transparent artwork. |
| Fine shading | Choose a simpler graphic interpretation if the source relies on complex tones. | The redraw approach should match the intended production process. |
ILLUSTRATIVE PROJECT BRIEF
Put the details into context.
A compressed JPEG brand mark prepared for a print supplier. Include the exact wording, desired background treatment and the supplier’s preferred vector format.
BEFORE YOU SAY YES
Review the details.
Then take the next step.
A screen preview is one part of approval. Check the details that matter to the actual application.
01
Against the reference
Compare wording, proportions, linework and colors with the approved source.
02
At output size
Check small elements and line weights at the actual print or production dimensions.
03
With the next supplier
Confirm color setup, fonts, background treatment and the requested file format.
04
Before release
Open the delivered artwork in the intended workflow and verify that necessary assets are included.
ABOUT THIS SERVICE
JPEG To Vector
questions, answered.
More questions about your design? Include the specific application and your artwork when you prepare your brief.
Does renaming a JPEG to SVG create a vector file?
No. The artwork must be reconstructed as vector shapes; changing the filename does not change how the image is built.
Will a larger JPEG help?
A clearer original generally gives more useful reference detail, but an enlarged blurry copy does not recover information that was already missing.
Which delivery format should I request?
Use the format specified by the print or production partner. Explain whether they need editable artwork, outlined text, a transparent background or a specific color setup.
What counts as a change in scope?
A new composition, additional illustration, changed wording or a different production requirement may change the work. Define revisions and deliverables in the project agreement.
