A CONSIDERED APPROACH

Built around the way
you’ll use it.

A stitch file is a set of sewing instructions. The right approach considers the order of stitches, fabric movement, underlay and the way each shape is built. Start with your artwork and the application, then confirm the scope before production.

01

Artwork clarity

Provide the clearest original artwork, ideally with readable details and accurate brand colors.

02

Garment context

Tell us whether the design will run on a polo, cap, fleece, jacket or another surface.

03

Machine requirements

Include the required stitch format and finished dimensions.

BEFORE YOU START

A clearer brief.
A better starting point.

Use your clearest source artwork. Include the finished size, application and required date. Confirm price, deliverables and timing before placing an order.

CHOOSE BY APPLICATION

Where this service
makes a difference.

01

Uniform branding

Prepare a recognizable chest logo for polos and work shirts, with the texture and weight of the garment identified in the brief.

02

Caps & headwear

Treat curved cap placements as a separate sewing application, rather than assuming a flat-garment file will suit the cap.

03

Statement artwork

Plan larger crests, mascots and jacket graphics around coverage, sequencing and the way the garment should feel.

KNOW YOUR OPTIONS

Small choices.
A different finished result.

These decisions help define the project before the artwork or production plan is approved.

Digitizing Services: decisions to confirm

DecisionWhat to specifyWhy it matters
Flat versus raisedSpecify a standard flat finish or identify the exact areas intended for puff embroidery.A raised effect needs its own approach; it is not just a thicker version of every design.
One placement versus severalList every garment and the actual finished dimensions required for each.Changing size or surface may require a revised stitch plan.
Artwork versus stitch fileProvide a visual reference and request the machine format needed for production.A JPEG or vector logo alone does not contain sewing instructions.

ILLUSTRATIVE PROJECT BRIEF

Put the details into context.

A navy work polo, a left-chest brand mark and a matching cap. Provide the logo once, then list the placement, dimensions and fabric for each item so the two applications can be evaluated separately.

BEFORE YOU SAY YES

Review the details.
Then take the next step.

A screen preview is one part of approval. Check the details that matter to the actual application.

01

At actual size

Review lettering, counters and the balance of the design at the dimensions that will be stitched.

02

On the intended fabric

Run a sample using the chosen garment material, stabilizer, thread and machine setup.

03

Through the sewing sequence

Check registration, thread behavior and how the finished design sits on the material.

04

Before a full batch

Record any changes clearly and approve the revised sample before production.

Does a vector logo replace digitizing?

No. Vector artwork describes shapes; a machine embroidery file describes stitches, sequence and other sewing information. The artwork can be the starting reference for digitizing.

Can I use one file at every size?

Significant resizing can change stitch coverage and the clarity of details. Confirm each finished size and have the file reviewed for that application.

What should I include with a change request?

Include the file or project reference, exact dimensions, a clear description and photos of any sew-out issue. Say whether the fabric, placement or machine setup has changed.

Is a digitizing request a finished garment order?

No. Digitizing prepares a digital embroidery file. Any physical garment, sewing or patch-production requirements should be specified and confirmed separately.
