A CONSIDERED APPROACH

Built around the way
you’ll use it.

Left-chest embroidery works within a compact area, so small text and fine linework need careful evaluation. Supply a finished width and height and identify the fabric so the design can be planned at the correct scale.

01

Readable lettering

Avoid assuming text that is readable on screen will be clear when stitched at a small size.

02

Garment texture

Piqué, jersey and woven shirting have different surfaces and stability.

03

Placement size

Share the dimensions required for your garment and brand standards.

BEFORE YOU START

A clearer brief.
A better starting point.

Use your clearest source artwork. Include the finished size, application and required date. Confirm price, deliverables and timing before placing an order.

CHOOSE BY APPLICATION

Where this service
makes a difference.

01

Polo shirts

Plan a compact mark for textured piqué or smooth jersey, specifying the fabric rather than only the garment name.

02

Work shirts

Balance the logo with the available area and any pocket, seam or panel near the placement.

03

Healthcare & hospitality

Keep organization names and role text readable within a restrained uniform placement.

KNOW YOUR OPTIONS

Small choices.
A different finished result.

These decisions help define the project before the artwork or production plan is approved.

Left Chest Digitizing: decisions to confirm

DecisionWhat to specifyWhy it matters
Pocket or plain frontShow the intended location on the actual garment.A pocket or seam can limit where and how embroidery is placed.
Text hierarchyPrioritize the company name before secondary lines.Several equally small lines can weaken the whole mark.
Width and heightConfirm both dimensions and preserve the approved proportions.A wide wordmark can become very short when constrained by width.

ILLUSTRATIVE PROJECT BRIEF

Put the details into context.

A chest logo for a textured polo, with a main brand name and a secondary tagline. Give the available width and identify whether the tagline can be removed if it becomes too small.

BEFORE YOU SAY YES

Review the details.
Then take the next step.

A screen preview is one part of approval. Check the details that matter to the actual application.

01

At actual size

Review lettering, counters and the balance of the design at the dimensions that will be stitched.

02

On the intended fabric

Run a sample using the chosen garment material, stabilizer, thread and machine setup.

03

Through the sewing sequence

Check registration, thread behavior and how the finished design sits on the material.

04

Before a full batch

Record any changes clearly and approve the revised sample before production.

Request this project ↗

What is the correct left-chest logo size?

There is no single size for every logo and garment. Review the mark at actual dimensions with the garment style, wearer and available area in mind.

Can you keep very small text readable?

Small lettering has physical limits. A different font, simplified wording or increased size may be needed, and the result should be checked with a sample.

What should I include with a change request?

Include the file or project reference, exact dimensions, a clear description and photos of any sew-out issue. Say whether the fabric, placement or machine setup has changed.

Is a digitizing request a finished garment order?

No. Digitizing prepares a digital embroidery file. Any physical garment, sewing or patch-production requirements should be specified and confirmed separately.
